Leon & Darlene Jackson

Leon Floyd Jackson Sr., 69, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at his home, surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene Lea Thomas on November 17, 2019.

The family will hold a private graveside service for them both at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home to defray expenses.

Both Leon and Darlene were born in Wichita, KS and were married on September 16, 1973 in Wellington, KS. Leon ran Jackson Construction while Darlene was a homemaker. He enjoyed carpentry and mowing, she enjoyed crocheting, they both enjoyed fishing and their dogs Peaches and Breezy, and their grandkids were the most important things in their lives.

They are survived by their daughter Lesia Howard, son Leon Jackson Jr., and sister Stella Jackson, grandchildren Terran, Christopher, Aceton, Aaron Jackson, Linda Oaks, Ayden, Lillie Howard and Darian Tracy, great-grandchildren Grayson, Titus Jackson and Nevaeh Tracy.
