Mary Jane Falkenberg

Mary Jane Falkenberg, 87, of Arkansas City, KS passed away on October 14, 2024 at Winfield Senior Living Community.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.

Mary was born on November 8, 1936 in Arkansas City, KS to parents Frank and Sylvia (Vandeber) Banister. She attended Ark City schools. Mary was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Falkenberg, on December 15, 1960. Mary enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, crocheting afghans, and bowling, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband, children Carla Parks (Mike), Cheryl Tharp (John Klick), Richard Falkenberg (Debbie), 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and 3 siblings.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Kelly “Chub” Falkenberg and 10 siblings.
