Miron Delno Taylor, 76, of Winfield, KS was greeted into Heaven on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at GracePointe Assembly of God Church in Winfield. Private interment will take place at Highland Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled. Memorial contributions for Miron may be made to GracePointe Assembly of God Church; donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
Miron was born on April 27, 1948, in Sciotoville, OH, to parents Earl Delno Taylor and Betty Lou (Kirkbride) Taylor. He attended Mulvane High School in his teens and graduated from Winfield High School in 2013 after 4 years of working full time and attending school in the evenings. He proudly served in the US Navy. Miron was united in marriage to Linda Jones on March 29, 1997, in Burden, KS. He spent most of his career working in sheet metal fabrication in the aircraft industry before retiring from the Winfield Correctional Facility as a Facility Maintenance Supervisor. Miron enjoyed tinkering, riding his motorcycle, and working on vehicles. He considered himself a “jack of all trades, master of none." He was a Deacon at GracePointe Assembly of God and loved being with his church family and greeting people. Most of all, he adored the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Miron is survived by his wife Linda, children Alan Jacob Taylor and Billy Joseph Taylor of the home, Christie Lee Miller of Carthage, MO, Rebecca Ann Scott of Oak Harbor, WA., Billy Jason Taylor of Wichita, KS, Justin Alan Minor, Christopher James Minor and Brandy Jeanette Jones all of Winfield, KS. He also had 13 grandchildren with another due in December and 2 great-grandchildren. Miron’s brothers Bennie Taylor of Dexter, KS and Leonard Taylor of Rochelle, GA, sisters Patti Luis of Crossville, TN, Trilba Jacobus of Bartlesville, OK, and Diane Boucher of Ponca City, OK and Roxanne Newman of Fort Wayne, IN.
Miron was preceded in death by his parents, his son Joshua Daniel Ancell, and brother Leland Leroy Taylor, sisters Debra Juanita Taylor, Kimberly Ann Taylor, and Emma Frances Scott.
