Ola Grace Stephens, 86, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away March 17, 2025 at South Central Kansas Medical Center.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
Grace was born on October 3, 1938 in Dustin, OK to parents Marion Francis Stephens and Allie Mae (Bridges) Stephens. The large family moved all over the country, but Arkansas City remained the constant home. Grace was united in marriage to Billy Harrison, the couple later divorced. Grace worked at Presbyterian Manor for over 20 years as the supervising housekeeper. She enjoyed her job and the people she worked with. She enjoyed reading, especially Louis L’Amour westerns, as well as painting, sewing, and quilting, and growing flowers year-round.
Grace is survived by her children Becky Martin (Blaine), Debbie Wilson (Randy), Ray Rhodes (Shay), Karren Mrock (Richie), siblings Luella Shearer, and Irene Mowery, 6 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathy Hensen, and siblings, Leroy Stephens, Pauline Langham, Doris Howell, Robert Stephens, Charles Stephens, June Newberry, Billie Stephens, Bernice Stephens, and Jimmy Stephens.
