Orval Leroy Utt, 79, of Winfield, KS passed away on November 8, 2025 at Winfield Senior Living.
Celebration of life service with military honors will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery of Winfield. Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice and left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
Leroy was born on March 18, 1946, in Arkansas City to parents Orville and Nellie Mildred (Gilmore), Utt. He graduated from Ark City High School and joined the Air Force. Afterward, he started working at the Ark City Mill as a Millhand from 1978 to 2001. On June 24, 1978 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jennifer “Jenny: Wooldridge. Leroy enjoyed being a member of the American Legion in Winfield, he bartended, played pool and dominoes, but what he loved most was spending time with his family.
Leroy is survived by his wife Jenny, daughters Niki Pierce, Cindy Kadera, Andrea Bare, grandchildren Madison McIntosh, Warren McIntosh, Katelynn Kadera, Ethan Agrella, Gretta Hephner, Austin Bare and Ryan Bare, siblings Dorothy Owen, Bonnie Slack and Gail Lathers.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Norma Clark, Leo Utt and Louise Stuart.
