Pascal "Bud" W. Scott Jr.

Pascal “Bud” William Scott Jr., 91, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 30, 2025 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City, Pastor Robert Ferris will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Parker Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 P.M. Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.

Bud was born on June 1, 1934 in Bartlesville, OK to parents Pascal and Florence (Crocker) Scott Sr. Bud was drafted into the Navy and served for three years before returning and starting his career at Rodeo Meats in Ark City.  On June 17, 1960 he was united in marriage to the love of his life LaFern “Fern” Jordan in Miami, OK. They made their home in Arkansas City. Bud enjoyed raising his family and coaching his kids in sports, whether it was football, baseball or wrestling. He loved attending Ark City High School and Cowley College sporting events.

Survivors include his children: Stan Scott and wife Stacy of Lake Ozark, MO; Stuart “Butch” Scott and wife Kami of Troy, KS; Shelly Brown and husband Scott of Wichita, KS; Rod Scott and wife Jill of Springdale, AR; Randy Scott and wife Sonya of Arkansas City, KS; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sons Steve Hasty and Stacy Scott.
