Pat Kelley

Pat Kelley, (88), of Winfield, KS, passed peacefully at home, March 31, 2026. 

Pat was born in Fredonia, KS to Herbert and Paulina (Thomson) Kelley on September 19, 1937.  He attended school in Fredonia and briefly in Winfield.  After receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Army, Pat enjoyed a career in concrete construction, including owning and operating American Concrete in Arkansas City, KS.

Pat had one sister, Betty (Kelley) Harris of Derby, KS and seven brothers, Bud Kelley of Geneseo, KS, Bobby Kelley of Fredonia, KS, Larry, Brian, Ted and Kenny Kelley, all of Winfield, KS. 

Pat is survived by his wife of 69 years Phylis (McKibben) Kelley, their daughter Patricia (Kelley) Contreras and son Michael Kelley all of Winfield.  Grandchildren include Chawi Contreras, Sergio Junior Contreras, Raquel (Contreras) Law, Veronica (Contreras) Hicks and Patrick (Hank) Kelley.  He had 10 Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great-Grandchildren.

The family will have a private graveside ceremony at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Pat’s name may be made out to Gentiva Hospice and left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
