Patt was born on January 6, 1950, in Denver, CO, to parents Floyd and Marguerite (Colvard) Herren. Growing up, her family moved often. Patt graduated from Canton, Ohio High School. She furthered her education by taking accounting classes and graduating from Gwinnett Institute of Technology in Lawrenceville, GA. It was there in Gwinnett that Patt worked for the Duluth police department for 10 years; she also worked at the Classic Cleaners for a time. Patt was crafty with her hands; she enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Patt was a talented artist; painting was a favorite of hers. She explored and was interested in genealogy. Patt was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority group. Above all, she was a devoted grandma. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren.

Patt is survived by her son Nick Wright, Kenneth Wright (Grace), Jonathan Wright (Lindsay), and Scott Rausch (Amanda), grandchildren Charlie, Dan, Amy, Liam, Madyson, Sawyer, Killian, Adalynn, and K.C., brother Stanley Herren (Gretchen), and brother-in-law Gary Donovan. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Christine Donovan.
