Ranney Douglas LeClair Sr., 70, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at home, surrounded by his family.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the Parker Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, August 19 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Ark City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church, donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.
Ranney was born on March 7, 1954 in Arkansas City to parents Bob and Florence (Siler) LeClair. He attended Ark City High School and later Cowley College for welding classes. On September 21, 1973 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Linda Norton. Ranney worked for Cessna, Morton Buildings, and USD 470 as a custodian, he enjoyed fixing things and doing woodworking projects, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Ranney is survived by his wife Linda, son Ranney LeClair Jr., daughter Cynthia LeClair, grandchildren Zane LeClair, Zephyr LeClair, Ashley Mahurin, and James Mahurin, siblings Hazel Pugh and Shirley New. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ben LeClair, sisters Vickie Kendrick, Lavonna Bilyeu, and Rosie Henley, and daughter-in-law Angela LeClair.
