Rhonda Lynn Horsman, 63, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at her home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at the Cambridge Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Village Bible Church of Salina for youth scholarships, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.
Rhonda was born on October 9, 1960, in Fredonia, KS to parents Elvin Leroy Lakin and Trudy (Seimears) Jessogne. She graduated from Oak Grove, MO High School. On November 11, 1979, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Terry Horsman. The couple made their home in the Winfield/Burden area where Rhonda served as a lunch lady and janitor as well as working with the youth in their local church. They later made their home in Salina, KS where she worked as a pharmacy tech. Rhonda enjoyed cross stitching, word and board puzzles, and attending and serving at Village Bible Church in Salina, KS.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Terry, daughters April Bates (Justin), and Amanda Horsman, grandchildren Brody, Marshal, Neecie, Colton, and Landry, sister Rene Beamon (Randy), and nephew Bryce Barkus. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Royce Lakin, and nephew Justin Barkus.
