Robert Jamis Obituary

Robert E. Jamis, age 94, beloved uncle and great uncle, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at the Kansas Veterans’ Home in Winfield, KS with family members at his side.

Robert was a US Army Veteran serving as a medic in Korea. Robert owned and operated a liquor store on West Maple for many years. Robert was an avid fisherman and a member of the Kansas Korean War Veterans Association. “Uncle Bob” never forgot the birthdays of his nieces and nephews and always sent a card with a $5 or $10 bill.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ina (Stoffer) Jamis, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by a brother, Dan (Sarah) Jamis, sisters-in-law; Marilyn Jamis, Mildred Jamis, and Janice Jamis, and numerous extended family members. Robert was cremated at his request and will be interred next to his parents with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
