Robert Patrick Obituary

Robert “Bob” Kendall Patrick passed away at home on June 7, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Born July 7, 1932 in Rogers, AR to John Virgil and Marie Thresia (Stoll) Patrick, he was the fourth of seven children. The family returned to Blackwell, OK in 1934 and Bob graduated from Blackwell High School in 1950. On September 6, 1952 Bob married the love of his life, Carol June Brewer. Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954, with his best friend for life, John Collyar, at Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX. Upon his discharge, Bob, Carol and baby daughter Paula moved to Arkansas City, KS where he resumed working at the refinery until his retirement after 47 years. Three more children, Mike, Kathy, and Michele were born, raised and graduated from Arkansas City High School.

After Carol’s passing in 2010 Bob moved to Ponca City, OK, happy to be an Okie once again. Bob enjoyed many hobbies, particularly raising and showing pigeons, hunting and collecting artifacts and attending as many flea markets as possible. He very much enjoyed meeting and visiting with friends, old and new, from everywhere as well as hosting many family gatherings.

Bob is survived by his children, Paula Howard (Randy), Longmont, CO, Mike Patrick (Mary), Broomfield, CO, Kathy Wiseman (J.D.), Stillwater, OK, and Michele Patrick of Ponca City, OK; grandsons Levi Robinson (Maria), Broomfield, CO, and Tanner Wiseman (Symantha) of Oklahoma City, OK; great-grandchildren Sebastian and Tori Robinson of Broomfield, CO; sisters Patsy McIntyre, Blackwell, OK, and Mary Gardner, Lakewood, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gary and Shirley Brewer, Wellington, KS and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, brother Terrance Patrick, brothers and sisters-in-law Ernie and Sue Patrick, Jack and Ralene Patrick, sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and Dave Davidson; brothers-in-law Bonnie Ray McIntyre and Lee Roy Gardner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Don and Bobbie Brewer, Billie Brewer, and Sid and Evelyn Shields.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City, with Pastor Michael Patrick officiating. Interment will take place at the Blackwell Cemetery.
