Ronald Lee Neely, 71, of Oxford, KS passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at home, surrounded by his family.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bryce Day Memorial Foundation, donations may be left in the care of the Oxford Funeral Service.
Ron was born September 23, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK to parents Andrew and Clara (Calhoun) Neely. He graduated from Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City. Ron was united in marriage to the love of his life Sherrel Freeman, on January 14, 1983 in Mustang, OK. He managed a tire sales and repair business, did mobile farm equipment maintenance, and worked at the Co-Op in Wellington. Ron enjoyed fishing, camping, drawing, collecting birds, mowing his lawn, playing cards and board games, and watching Dallas Cowboys football. He enjoyed having conversations with his friends and family, and he loved spending time with his kids.
Survivors include his wife Sherrel Neely, children Christina Hudson-Locke (David), Jeff Neely (Loretta), Mendy Zimmerman, and Trena Cannon (Chad), grandchildren Christopher Jones, Sydney Young, Matthew Jones, Samantha Jones, Shelby Morris, Lane Neely, Nicky Jones, Bodhie Cannon, and Braden Black, 14 great-grandchildren, siblings Allen Neely, Chris Neely, and Sheila White. Ron is preceded in death by his parents.
