Rosemary "Rosie" Halbert

 Rosemary “Rosie” Halbert, 78, of Winfield, KS passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at Winfield Rest Haven.

There are no services scheduled, private burial will take place at Wilmont Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Rosie’s name may be made to Winfield Rest Haven, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley family Funeral Home of Winfield.

Rosie was born on July 29, 1945 in Hutchinson, KS to parents Dale and Alberta (Woods) Halbert. After her parents passed, she moved to Winfield to begin a whole new life with a new family. Rosie's greatest fear was being alone, so she just made everyone she met a friend. Even though her life was limited to mostly living at Rest Haven, due to mobility issues, she found joy in many things. She enjoyed her dolls and stuffed toys, her many Bibles and other books and paper to copy scripture on, she especially enjoyed spaghetti and Dr. Pepper. Her biggest love was people, including the people at Rest Haven, her special friends Jana, Patty, John, Phillip, and her guardian Shirley Booe. Her friends would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for the care they gave Rosemary in her final days.
