Ryan Wayde Brown

Ryan Wayde Brown, 53, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to Halie Brown, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.

Ryan was born on May 28, 1971 at the Ark City Hospital to parents Gary and Vicki (Jackson) Brown. He graduated from Ark City High School in 1989 where he set records in powerlifting and was an outstanding football player. He received a scholarship to play football at Pittsburg State University where he received a bachelors in Business and also won a national championship. Ryan worked as a loan officer for many years before starting his own business selling insurance, Nphinet Benefits. He loved spending time with people and was always helping others. He enjoyed fixing old cars, watching football, having deep conversations, especially about his favorite movie, The Matrix, he enjoyed reading and going to the casino.

Ryan is survived by his son Kai Brown, daughter Halie Brown, mother Vicki Jackson, grandson Dominic Brown, and brothers Lee Brown and Aaron Brown.
