Sandra Marion Obituary

Sandra Jean Marion, 65, passed away Tuesday, March 26 at her home in Atlanta, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are in care of Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.

Sandy was born on November 7, 1953 in Guthrie, Oklahoma the daughter of George and Patricia (Lovell) Marion. She graduated from high school in Cassville, Missouri in 1971, she received an accounting certificate from ECU in Ada, Oklahoma as well as a drug and alcohol addiction counseling degree from Butler County Community College. Sandy also worked for many years as a restaurant manager in Indiana, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Kansas. She was a very talented cook and especially liked making pastries, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, genealogy research, collecting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons: Rob Hood, Pat Hood and Mike Miller, sister Peggy Sowell, sister Constance Tillery, brother George “Bud” Cornelius Marion Jr., sister Jane Marion, brother Mark Marion and sister Jo Marion, as well as 10 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
