Sara Jane Wadleigh, 70, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Willaim Newton Hospital.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Ark City. Memorial Contributions may be made to The National Fibromyalgia Association, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.

 Sara was born on October 26, 1953 at Camp Lejeune, NC to parents Lloyd and Bentie Mae (Ratley) Laughlin. She attended St. Mary of the Plains College and started her career as a registered nurse. She worked at many facilities, including the Winfield State Hospital and Presbyterian Manor.  Sara was united in marriage to Brent Wadleigh on March 28, 2005. Sara enjoyed reading mystery novels, watching KC Chiefs football, and seeing her grandkids. She was a member of the Ark City Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 20 years.

 Sara is survived by her husband Brent, her children Steven Moberg and Lisa Moberg Powers, siblings Blake Laughlin, Boogi Laughlin and Laura Laughlin, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 She is preceded in death by her parents and son Robert Moberg.
