Sharon Ann McClure, 82, of Winfield, KS passed away April 12, 2026 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield, KS.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials in her name may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society and left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
Sharon was born on August 29, 1943 in Denver, CO to parents Norman and Louise (Haggee) McClure. She graduated from Kaw City High School and worked numerous jobs, including Peabody Gordon-Piatt, Rubbermaid and for a brief time she worked as a hairdresser, with her last job at the Kansas State Hospital in Winfield as a CMA. Sharon enjoyed coloring, dancing when she was younger, being fashionable with her hair and jewelry and caring for her dogs and cats.
She is survived by her sons Gary McClure (Lisa), and Kevin McClure (Julie) and adopted son James Bos, and best friend Missy Long, grandchildren, Amber, Brett, Jace, Trista, Tate, Tanessa, and Tanner, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Terry Lee McClure.
