Sharon D. (Alberts) Prouty

Sharon Denise Prouty, 56, of Winfield passed away December 31, 2020 in Topeka, KS.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield. Attendees are asked to please wear a mask and adhere to any public health guidelines. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.

Sharon was born in Vernon, TX on February 6, 1964 to parents William and Ragenia (Carpenter) Alberts. Sharon graduated from Winfield High School in 1982. Sharon was united in marriage to Mark Prouty on June 15, 2002 in Winfield. She worked as an apartment manager and a hotel manager at Super 8, she also was a proud homemaker. Sharon enjoyed crafting, having game nights, and going to the Walnut Valley Festival. She was also a member of AA and NA. She loved spending time with family and her grandchildren meant the world to her.

Survivors include her husband Mark, children: Heidi Reed (Chris), Eric Fraley (Erin), Sarah Reed, and Rosie Cooper; grandchildren: Thomas, Zacchara, Aubree, Bentley, Oaklyn, and baby Fraley and baby VanDeest; siblings: Teresa Redd, Billy Alberts, and Deanne Wells, as well as her best friend of 44 years Debbie Armstrong. She is preceded in death by her parents.
