Shellie Lynn Mitchell, 59, of Winfield, KS, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her home.
Memorial service information will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home (803 Loomis St. Winfield, KS 67156) to defray expenses.
Shellie was born on June 14, 1965, in Wichita, KS, to parents Eugene Mitchell Jr. and Barbara (Parmetier) Mannon. She attended high school in El Dorado and continued her education at Butler. She enjoyed caring for others and worked as a home health aide for many years. Shellie was an avid reader and would often write poetry. In her free time, she liked crocheting, crafting, cooking, going to the lake, and listening to music. Shellie was active in her faith and a member of the Cumberland Baptist Church of Douglass. The most important thing in her life was her family; she always cared for them and raised many as her own. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Mannon; sons, David Wilson, Dakota Wilson; daughter, Amanda Wilson; grandchildren, Dylan, Derrick, and Destiny Boyer, and Trenton, Gabriel, Faith, Legacie and Aleah Wilson; siblings, James Mitchell, C.J. Young, Jeff Mitchell, Julie Smart, and Tammy Mitchell; as well as her best friend, Kendra Mansfield, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shellie is preceded in death by her father, son Chad Wilson, and brother Eugene David Mitchell III.
