Shelly Jean Bogart, 55, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on December 14, 2020 at her home.

Cremation will take place and the family will have private services at Parker Cemetery. A memorial has been established Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church. Contributions may be made through the church or Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

Shelly was born on September 9, 1965 in Arkansas City, KS, the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Gildhouse) Scott. Shelly attended grade school in the Sleeth Addition of Arkansas City. She graduated from Arkansas City High School the class of 1984. She worked for Sparks Music Store, Rogers Family Dentistry and Radio Shack of Arkansas City.

Her family includes: her mother, Patricia Scott; her father, Robert Scott both of Arkansas City; her sisters, Christina Walton (Michael) and Robin Tackett (Chris) both of Arkansas City; her children, Jason Legleiter (Marissa) and Lori Virden (Kody) both of Arkansas City; her 5 grandchildren, Owen, Ayden and Turner Legleiter, Hanlee and Kellen Virden; her partner, Louis Barton of Arkansas City and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Edgar and Minnie Gildhouse and paternal grandparents, Robert and Maxine Scott.
