Shirley Faye (White) Setzkorn

Shirley Faye Setzkorn, 69, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at her home. 

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Shelley Family Funeral Home in Arkansas City, KS.

A memorial has been established with Mosaic.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.  

Shirley was born on September 26, 1950 in Gassville, Arkansas the daughter of William Abner and Lena Faye “Lucy” (Smith) White.   She went to grade school in Arkansas and then moved to Wichita where she attended high school.  In 1971, she was united in marriage to Roger Setzkorn in Winfield, KS.  Shirley was a natural caregiver and spent her life taking care of others through her work at the Winfield State Hospital and other nursing facilities.   She loved camping, cooking, fishing, and the outdoors.  She loved her grandchildren and spending time watching their sports and various activities.   She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. 

Surviving to honor her memory is her husband Roger of the home; her daughter, Michael “Mikie” Leslie White (Ryan) of Arkansas City; her 3 grandchildren, Garrick Allen Setzkorn of Louisiana; Bryce Allen Hooper of Winfield, KS and Fayth Ann Hooper of Pennsylvania; her brothers and sisters, Sue Holland of Kansas City, KS, Jake White(Wanda) of Clearwater, KS, Stanley White (Claudia) of Wichita, KS, Connie Chisum of Winfield, KS and Chris White of Gassville, AR.   She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Clifton and Ron.
