Teresa Mamie Waggoner, 77, of Winfield, KS, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at William Newton Hospital.
A visitation will be held from 1-3 PM on Sunday, December 15, at the Shelley Family Funeral Home in Winfield. Private graveside services will follow at a later date. Memorials in her name may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society and left in the care of the funeral home.
Teresa was born on November 25, 1947, in Blackwell, OK, to parents Nathan and Almeda (Schmidt) Waggoner. She graduated from Winfield High School and then started working as a mental health tech at the Winfield State Hospital. She later worked as a case manager at TFI in Winfield. Teresa enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and painting. She was an amazing gardener and could often be found mowing in her yard, and she loved to cook. She was an accomplished dog trainer. She showed her Corgis at dog shows across the country.
Teresa is survived by her brother Mike Waggoner (Cheryl), sister Mona Lemke, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Henry Waggoner and Alisa Faye Waggoner and brother-in-law David Lemke.
