Vickie Leggett Obituary

Vickie Sue Leggett, 73, of Winfield passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

Sue was born January 29, 1948, the daughter of Orville Leggett and Katherine (Herr) McDaniel. She graduated from Oxford High School and earned a Bachelors’s degree from Wichita State University. Sue worked as a CNA for Mosaic of Winfield for 10 years. She was very musical and enjoyed singing at church and singing opera in Wichita. Sue also enjoyed going out to restaurants and to garage sales, most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons Jeff Leggett and Ross DeVore, grandchildren Trevor Leggett and Laken Leggett, and brother Mark McDaniel. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Howard McDaniel, and brother Steven McDaniel.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
